Carrie White Through the Years🩸

We’ve finally reached the end of this series of posts with the ultimate character from Stephen King’s novel: the girl with telekinesis herself, Carrie White.

Across the various adaptations, we’ve witnessed different interpretations of Carrie’s unique personality, her perspective on the world around her, and the cruelty that ultimately unleashes her rage.

Carrie has been magnificently portrayed by Sissy Spacek, Angela Bettis, Chloë Grace Moretz, and, most recently, Summer H. Howell. Meanwhile, Emily Bergl followed in Carrie’s footsteps as Rachel Lang, the troubled teenager at the center of the direct sequel, The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999).

From the painfully shy and sheltered girl to the misunderstood outsider pushed beyond her limits, each portrayal has brought something different to one of horror’s most tragic and unforgettable characters.
